Fat Burning Supplement Overview: CLA

 Fat Burning Supplement Overview: CLA

Hey everyone, I've decided that I'm going to write a quick overview about CLA (Conjugated linoleic acid)
CLA is a supplement that many people have been keeping an eye on recently, due to it's properties that cause it to not only burn fat, but also enhance muscle growth and onwards. CLA is found in various products such as meat and dairy products, but it's extremely difficult to supplement through a regular diet nowadays due to the fact that its found in extremely low levels which would make it almost detrimental to consume due to the high amount of calories you will have to consume with it. Multiple studies have shown concrete evidence of CLA burning fat, increasing lean muscle, boosting the efficiency of your immune system, and even anti cancer properties. In my opinion, CLA should be a staple in almost everyone's diet! If you aren't trying to get rid of fat, you'll benefit from that muscle gain or at least the boost to your immune system.

There is no sufficient evidence that I'm aware of that suggests that CLA may be harmful, but some studies suggest that CLA it may have an adverse effect on your insulin resistance, which may increase the potential of diabetes, which is why some people use it on and off to help avoid this, and other unknown potential risks.

I have personally used CLA myself for a few months and I must say that I do believe that it works. Compared to other cutting seasons, when I began using CLA, fat burning was more efficient and I felt as if my muscle loss due to cutting was kept to a minimum compared to before. Therefore, I would definitely recommend CLA!

That has been my quick review on CLA, thanks for reading!

About Protein Powder: GFR Health Whey Protein

About Protein Powder: GFR Health Whey Protein

Hello everyone, today I'm going to review another brand of protein from GFR Health. This edition will be chocolate flavoured.

Nutritional Value

This protein is an isolate which contains 120 calories, 2 grams of fat (1.4g saturated), and 25 grams of protein per 32 gram serving. Like most other proteins, this is sweetened with sucralose.

Absorption

Whey is the fastest absorbing protein available so its great at any time especially before or after a workout. This protein is NOT hydrolyzed. This protein is an isolate so it gives a great concentration of protein per gram.

Taste and Mixing

This powder actually tastes quite nice in milk, but is absolutely disgusting in water. This powder is quite bad when it comes to mixing since there will always be chunks of powder floating around. For this reason, this is usually the protein I put on snacks rather than in my drinks.

Price

I grabbed this protein for $25/2kg at my local Costco which is actually a great price up here. What it may lack in some convenience, it definitely makes up for in price.

Final Thoughts

To finish this review off, although this protein is rather poor when it comes to mixing, it does have a pretty decent taste to it and it's a great value considering that it's a cheap protein powder, especially for an isolate. Basically, if you're looking for the most bang for your buck, this might be it. Thanks for reading this review and remember to check back for more!

About Protein Powder: 100% Gold Standard Whey

We are going to kick off this blog with a review of a product of the popular product Gold Standard 100% Whey from Optimum Nutrition in strawberry.

Nutrition Content

I am going to start off with the fact that this is an isolate and not a concentrate which means that by weight, at least 90% of the powder is pure protein so for every 29.4g serving, this is packed with 24 grams of whey protein. Aside from that, there's only 110 calories, 1 gram of fat, and 2 grams of carbohydrates per scoop which is fairly impressive aside from the fact that this is due to the sucralose content which you can't avoid too easily in today's protein market.

Absorption

Since whey is the fastest absorbing protein out there, you cant go any other way before or after your workout (Unless you're a vegan). As well, since it's an isolate, you're ensured that you get the maximum amount of protein per scoop for your body to be sufficiently nourished.

Taste and Mixing

This protein by far surpasses any other protein I've ever used when it comes to taste. It will taste incredible in water and milk alike! On top of this, it doesn't mix too bad, regardless of whether you use a shaker, spoon, or blender.

Price

I get this for about $30/2lb at my local nutrition store which for Canadians is about average. In my opinion it, along with most proteins, are overpriced but it's reasonable.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, I thoroughly believe that this is one of the best protein powders out there for beginners and professional body-builders alike. This protein has the complete nutritional package along with the fact that it doesn't taste like complete garbage like many other proteins in stores
